Unieke brandwerende behuizingen vereenvoudigen de upgrade van het “control system” van een chemische fabriek

Ulft, Nederland, December 17, 2018 --- Behuizingen van Intertec Instrumentation zijn gekozen om een ​​vooraanstaande Europese chemische fabrikant te helpen zijn distributed control system (DCS) te upgraden.
 
De vier Intertec-shelters zijn vervaardigd met behulp van unieke composiet GRP-materialen (glasvezelversterkt polyester) en bieden geavanceerde brandwerende eigenschappen. Deze eigenschap zal de behuizing van elektronische regel- en instrumentatie apparatuur op satellietlocaties in de plant vereenvoudigen.
 
Bovendien verminderen de GRP-gebaseerde fabricagematerialen aanzienlijk het gewicht van de shelters in vergelijking met traditionele, op metaal gebaseerde of betonnen constructies en containers. In deze toepassing stelt deze gewichtsvermindering de fabrikant in staat om de systemen verder te optimaliseren door drie van de shelters op stalen frames op hoogte in de fabriek te plaatsen.
 
De shelters bieden een F60-classificatie van passieve brandwerendheid en een barrière voor branduitbreiding gedurende 60 minuten. Dit wordt bereikt door een uniek composietmateriaal dat GRP-platen combineert met ingesloten lagen minerale wol. De shelters bieden grote vloeroppervlakten tot 55 m2 (5 x 11 m). Intertec levert de shelters met kabelkanalen, verlichting, een verhoogde vloer voor bekabeling en een geavanceerd downflow-koelsysteem om de elektronische apparatuur te beschermen.
